Discovered a couple of these in my citrus trees first one I picked off and threw over the fence for the birds to get, second one I decided to find out what it actually was.
Turns out it is the Caterpillar of the Dainty Swallowtail Butterfly, to grow up into this (from http://www.backyardbuddies.net.au/bmail/Bmail_February_2012.html):

No they will be left to do their thing (as long as they don't eat all my trees leaves)
